GREEN OATS PANCAKE

Beauty with brains symbolizes an extraordinary woman ,similarly Health with taste symbolizes an extraordinary dish…if it’s green ,it’s fibrous, it’s Mom’s Signature dish and moreover prepared in FORTUNE RICE BRAN HEALTH OIL   then how come HEALTH could be far away from you..

So letz hit the kitchen platform..

INGREDIENTS

BESAN (Gram flour)              1cup

GREEN LEAVES( Fenugreek) 100gms

OATS                                    2tbsp

GINGER (grated)                   1tsp(change the qty as per your taste)

GARLIC ( crushed)                1tsp( change the qty as per your taste)

ASEFOETIDA                         a pinch

CUMIN SEEDS(JEERA)            1/2 tsp

CELERY (AJWAIN)                  1/2 tsp

RED CHILLI POWDER             1/2 tsp

GARAM MASALA POWDER       1/2 tsp

CHAT MASALA                         1tsp

SALT                                        to taste

Water                                     to prepare batter

PROCEDURE

1. Take Besan(Gram flour) in a bowl and slowly add water to prepare the batter of proper consistency so that it spreads easily .

2. Add chopped green leaves,oats and all the spices along with the salt as per your taste and mix well.

3. Heat 2 tbsp of FORTUNE RICE BRAN HEALTH OIL and add it into the batter.

3 . Heat the pan ,put some oil on it and then a large spoon full of batter .Spread slowly to make it round.

4. Cook from both the sides applying some FORTUNE RICE BRAN HEALTH oil .

Serve with red sauce or green chutney..

VARIATIONS

1..Instead of Fenugreek leaves you can use spinach,coriander leaves,mint leaves according to your choice.

2..You can add grated onions as well ,if you like.

3..If you are  not so fond of oats you can avoid them too but I would advise not to.

4..You can stuff it too, with paneer filling .

Good taste and health comes in a combo with the Fortune product RICE BRAN HEALTH OIL..It’s been a couple of days since my previous oil canisters have been replaced by the nutritive healthy one –FORTUNE RICE BRAN HEALTH OIL(extra benefit of saving a penny too).

Let’s have a quick overview of the benefits of using this NOT-SO-STICKY health oil…

NUTRTIOUS PLATTER

Sprouted Moong(parboiled)           1 cup

Baked beans                                 1/2 cup

Boiled american corn                     1/2 cup

Chopped parboiled vegetables ( capsicum,french beans) 1/2 cup

White sauce                                 1/2 cup

chopped onion                               1 tbsp

red chilli sauce                               1tbsp

Fortune Rice Bran Oil                     2 tbsp

chat masala                                  1/2 tsp

Salt                                                to taste

How to prepare White sauce

Heat 1tbsp butter and 1 tbsp of FORTUNE RICE BRAN HEALTH OIL for 2 mins add 1 1/2 cup of milk(at room temperature) ,2 tbsp grated cheese and salt  to taste  ..I gave a little twist my adding chopped mint leaves .

PREPARATION

Put FORTUNE RICE BRAN HEALTH OIL  in a  pan .Saute chopped onions and garlic ,add boiled vegetables ,red chilli sauce  ,salt,chat masala ,corn kernels,baked beans and sprouted moong .Mix well .Then add white sauce and cook for two mins.Serve hot .

VARIATIONS

You can add mushrooms if you like, you can add red and yellow capsicum to make it colorful ( depends on the availability) Garnish with mint leaves. If you don’t like mint flavor you can use coriander leaves.

ORANGE WALNUT CAKE (Without egg)

Here comes a delicious and even more healthier cake recipe to relish  with your evening tea.Using FORTUNE RICE BRAN HEALTH OIL has reduced the calories in this dish .So if you are tempted to have more than one slice at a time you need not worry about anything .Just have it..because FORTUNE RICE BRAN HEALTH OIL keeps a check on fat and cholesterol ,takes care of  your skin,your heart ,your nervous system,immunity system and more..

ORANGE WALNUT CAKE ( Without egg)

Maida                                     1 1/4cups

Condensed Milk                     200gm

Fortune Rice bran Health oil -1/2cup

Fresh Orange Juice                3/4cup

Walnuts                                8 to 10

Powdered sugar                 1 1/2tsp

Vanilla Essence                    1tsp

Baking Powder                     1tsp

Baking Soda                         1/2tsp

Orange Zest                         2tbsp

Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 180C.

2. Grease and dust an 8″ cake tin.

3. In a wide bowl, put Fortune Rice Bran Health oil .

4. Add condensed milk and beat till smooth.

5. Add Orange juice and sugar .blend them well.

6. Add the essence and mix .

7. Mix maida, baking powder and baking soda in another bowl.

8. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Sift in the flour slowly to get a smooth consistency

9. Do not over mix. Add chopped walnuts and  zest . mix properly .

10. Pour into the prepared tin.

11. Bake for 40 -45 minutes. Check the cake at 30 minutes.

12. Insert the knife or a toothpick to check .If it comes out clean then your cake is ready.Let it cool.

14. Cut into thin slices and serve with tea.

VARIATIONS

You can use almonds instead of walnuts.If you wish to change the flavour you can add chopped banana instead of orange juice and zest.
